Andrew Mckim
Andrew McKim was born in Saint John, New Brunswick on July 6, 1970.He currently resides in his newly adopted hometown, St. John’s, Newfoundland with his wife Leanne. They have two children Emily 8, and Matthew 6. Andrew began his career with the QMJHL where he played from 1986 – 1990. He was the league MVP in 1990. Andrew began his 11 year professional career in the Calgary Flames Organization then signed with Boston Bruins where he made his NHL debut and played for two years. After Boston, Andrew went on to play Detroit Red Wings before taking his talents overseas. He went on to play three year in the Swiss Elite League and 3 years in the German Elite League. Unfortunately, he was injured in October 2000 with a career ending concussion. Andrew also played for Team Canada in 1985,1986,1987, 1995, 1996,1998 and 1999. Andrew played for Team Canada at the 1995 World Championships in Sweden where they won the Bronze Medal and was the leading scorer. Andrew is currently coaching Tri-Pen Midget AAA and coaching with the Xtreme hockey program.
