Reminder – ALL MALE TEAMS will be selected from players who have participated in X Hockey programming within the past year. Please read below for strategy and selection processes. There will not be a formal try-out process for travel teams.. Players will be contacted to see if they are interested in evaluation for travel teams, and will be monitored throughout X Hockey/minor hockey programming. The above teams will be selected based on player performance in power skating, two line, and minor hockey.

Cost: 2020 Travel Program

Xtreme Hockey has not announced the cost of the travel program for 2020. In previous years, teams have received the following as part of their travel package (items received vary from year to year):

  • 10-12 hours of ice-time
  • Attire (hoodie, shorts, t-shirt)
  • Custom jersey (1)
  • Custom socks (1)
  • Tournament registration (1)
  • Team insurance (Canadian tournaments only*)

*** flight, hotel, and transportation costs are the responsibility of the individual player. Due to high costs of US tournaments with a weak exchange rate, packages for teams travelling to the USA will cost slightly more than other teams

Where:

Practices before the tournament will be held at Capital Hyundai Arena, Pennywell Road, St. John’s, NL. Travel tournament locations vary from year to year. Xtreme Hockey has taken hundreds of teams to; Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI, Detroit, USA, and Boston, USA since its inception.

Spring (March-June).

Number of Sessions Offered:

This also varies from year to year. However, Xtreme Hockey usually has one (1) travel team per age group from Novice Minor to Peewee Major, as well as female teams.

Offered To:

Players (skaters) and goaltenders who have participated in Xtreme Hockey programming within the past year.

Benefits:

A second-to-none hockey experience, playing games against strong competition, experiencing what hockey is like in other province/countries, meeting new friends, having FUN, quality coaching leading up to the tournament.
